“The tournament was a huge success,” said Evan Goldman, assistant professor of Biology, who coordinates the University’s Ultimate Frisbee Team.  “We were very pleased with the positive camaraderie the event generated and the high level of play exhibited by our team on the field.”

During the tournament, Philadelphia University triumphed in a series of round-robin style competitions, resulting in an undefeated record against teams from Philadelphia’s Masterman High School, Drexel University and Ramapo College of New Jersey.  Amid a crowd of cheering fans, the University secured another first-place win in the championship game against University of Pennsylvania, declaring its players the tournament victors.

For their achievement, winning players received T-shirts and a championship trophy sponsored by the Department of Athletics.
