Fashion Merchandising Senior Featured in Commercial

terrin1.jpgRepresentatives from Wor-Wic Community College (WWCC), located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, were on campus yesterday, Nov. 27, to film their new commercial that will feature Philadelphia University Fashion Merchandising senior Terrin Meiser.

The WWCC campaign highlights students who graduate from their two-year programs and go onto successful academic careers at private, four-year institutions like Philadelphia University.  The 30 second-spot featuring Meiser, who earned her associate’s degree in General Studies at WWCC before transferring to Philadelphia University, will appear in print and on television—including ABC and CBS affiliate TV stations: WMDT and WBOC—in the Maryland area beginning January 2008.

Meiser chose WWCC for its proximity to her home in Salisbury, Md., but was attracted to Philadelphia University for its diverse program offerings.  “I chose to attend Philadelphia University because it had the major I was interested in,” she said.  “It also has a good reputation with many employers in my field.”

“Wor-Wic’s slogan is ‘Start Here; Go Anywhere,’” said WCC Director of Marketing Janet Kennington, who oversaw Tuesday’s commercial shoot.  “Terrin is a perfect example of this.”
