Vigile joins the Safety & Security staff, where he will directly supervise the University’s 24-hour Communications Center.  Allowing the Department to effectively monitor campus activity, the Center, which was established in August 2006, receives a variety of safety and security calls and emergency reports daily.

“Jon will maximize the use of our security and communications systems,” said Jeff Baird director of Safety & Security.  “He will also help provide the most timely security services for the University community.”

In his previous position as administrative manager for the office of safety and security at Philadelphia Biblical University in Langhorne, Pa., Vigile supervised a range of campus security systems, including alarm, radio and closed-circuit television systems, as well as crime reporting and parking services.

A graduate of Temple University, Vigile is currently studying for a master’s degree in criminal justice through the University of Cincinnati’s distance-learning program.
