Philadelphia University welcomes two new staff members— Joshua Liss, assistant vice president for Development Operations, and Rhonda Davis, director of Fitness and Wellness—to campus.
Mr. Liss comes to the University’s Office of Development and Alumni Relations from the University of Pennsylvania, where he held leadership roles in the areas of annual giving and alumni programming, and worked in its Schools of Veterinary Medicine and Dental Medicine. Previously, Mr. Liss also served as director of Annual Giving at Ursinus College and worked in development for Philadelphia University early on in his career. In the assistant vice president for Development Operations position, in addition to gift prospecting, Mr. Liss will oversee the University’s annual giving and prospect research. Mr. Liss earned a B.A. in History and Political Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Rhonda Davis has joined Philadelphia University as director of Fitness and Wellness. She will manage the University’s Fitness Center as well as oversee all wellness programs, and support the Department of Athletics’ recreation activities and Physical Education Program. Prior to joining the University, Ms. Davis served as the general manager of the Health Development Division of Town Sports International at Rider University’s student recreation center. In that role, she developed health programs and workshops for faculty and staff members, as well as marketed the facility to the university community. In addition, Ms. Davis is an experienced personal trainer and fitness instructor. Ms. Davis earned a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science from Rowan University and a M.A. in Sport and Recreation Administration from Georgia Southwestern State University.
