Hitoshi Ujiie, associate professor of textile design, on digital textile printing in print magazine

Hitoshi Ujiie, associate professor of textile design and director of the Center for Excellence of Digital Inkjet Printing of Textiles, was featured in the April issue of print magazine.   In a story on digital textile printing, Ujiie talked about how digital printing technology of textiles is being used by Philadelphia University students across multiple disciplines, including textile design, fashion and graphic arts.  “What I see in the future is a neo-cottage industry for designers,” Ujiie said.  “They can be a designer, they can be a manufacturer and they can be a retailer.”
