Architecture graduate lauds Freedom by Design impact in Architect magazine

Architecture alumnus Troy Hannigan and PhilaU’s Freedom by Design (FBD) group, which does pro bono design and build work, was featured in Architect magazine, December 2009.   Hannigan and other student volunteers in PhilaU’s FBD chapter helped design a wheelchair ramp for Josh Skoog of Collegeville, Pa., who has cerebral palsy, in 2007.  Hannigan, who now works for Habitat for Humanity through the AmeriCorps Vista program, says participating in Freedom by Design “really changed how I see architecture.”
