Coach Magee, coming up on 902 wins, featured in Phila Daily News

Men’s basketball coach Herb Magee, who has won 901 career wins in a tremendous 43-year career, was featured Feb. 19 in the Philadelphia Daily News.  Current assistant Dick DeLaney, who coached West Chester for 21 seasons, and former assistant Steve Donohue, now head coach at two-time defending Ivy League champ Cornell, lauded Magee for his ability to teach and mentor his players.  “The best thing about him as a coach is he gives his kids great confidence,” Donahue said.  “He’s a teacher first and continues to teach every day at practice and in games,” DeLaney added.
