The PhilaU Women’s Resource Committee and the Campus Activities Board present That Takes Ovaries, an international, interactive celebration of gutsy and courageous women, on Tuesday, April 6 at 7 p.m. in The Kanbar Campus Center Performance Space. The event is free and open to the University community and public.
The show is pasted on a play adapted from the book, That Takes Ovaries!: Bold Females and their Brazen Acts, which is a collection of real-life experiences and first-person narratives, edited by Rivka Solomon.
The event will feature students reading select That Takes Ovaries monologues followed by an open mic session. Faculty, staff and students can participate in the open mic session by sharing their own stories of a time they were courageous, or by sharing a story about gutsy women in their lives who have inspired them.
