Coach Magee named Basketball Hall of Fame finalist, reports ESPN, Sports Illustrated, USA Today and other media outlets

Men’s basketball coach Herb Magee, who last year became the winningest all-NCAA coach in history when he topped Bobby Knight’s record, was named a 2011 finalist for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on Feb. 18.  The news was reported by a wide range of television, radio, print and internet media outlets, including The New York Times, USA Today, Sports Illustrated, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Philadelphia Daily News, ESPN, MSN Fox Sports, CBS Sports, KYW Newsradio, Hoops World, The Detroit Free-Press, The New York Post and the Associated Press wire service.  This year’s inductees to the Hall will be announced on April 4.
