Marie-Eve Faust, director of fashion merchandising, calls for standardized apparel sizes: The Toronto Star, Fox 29

Marie-Eve Faust, director of the fashion merchandising program, is working on an apparel labelling system that would have more uniform standards and shape information than the often arbitrary sizes in use today, reported The Toronto Star May 12.  “We just reached 0 a few years ago and 0 is invisible, nothing,” she said.  “A label should be more useful.”

Faust also was interviewed on the issue of vanity sizing–ever-lower clothing sizes even as people get larger–on Fox29 on May 11 at 10 p.m. and May 12 at 5 a.m., 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.  To view the segment, go to http://www.myfoxphilly.com/dpp/news/consumer/MyBestFit_King_Of_Prussia_Mall_051211.
