President Spinelli says tax breaks to help veterans buy franchises make sense: Philadelphia Business Journal

President Stephen Spinelli Jr. says the economics of federal tax breaks to help veterans buy franchises “make a lot of sense to me,” The Philadelphia Business Journal reported in an Aug. 19-25 story.  Spinelli, a co-founder of Jiffy Lube who was one of its largest franchisees, said failure rates for stand-alone startups are much higher than those for franchises.  “It’s a lower-risk investment with a higher return of investment in a time when job creation is of paramount concern,” he said.
