Philadelphia University Website and Logo Receive National Awards

Philadelphia University was one of only 40 institutions from a pool of over 1,000 to receive more than one Gold Award in the Higher Education Marketing Report's annual Education Advertising Awards.

PhilaU's wordmark logo was selected for a Gold Award by the Higher Education Marketing Report.

Philadelphia University won two Gold Awards in the Higher Education Marketing Report’s 27th annual Education Advertising Awards for excellence in the logo design and website categories.

More than 1,000 colleges, universities and secondary schools from all 50 states and several countries submitted nearly 3,000 entries for consideration in the contest. PhilaU’s website redesign, launched in August 2011, and the University’s new PhilaU wordmark were selected from the applicant pool as the highest medal winners in their respective categories.

The contest administrators awarded one Gold Award per category, along with silver, bronze, merit and “Best of Show” distinctions. Fewer than 20 percent of the participating schools received a single gold-level award among their submissions. Philadelphia University was one of only 40 institutions to receive multiple Gold Awards.

The awards were chosen by a panel of expert judges from higher education, marketing agencies, creative directors, advertising executives and the board of Higher Education Marketing Report, a leading publication for higher education marketing.

PhilaU’s website and wordmark were designed in conjunction with Creative Communication Associates.
