Fashion Students Win Awards at Annual Red Dress Design Competition

The Red Dress Design Competition is an annual event sponsored by the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women campaign.

Three fashion designers won awards at the 2012 Red Dress Design Competition sponsored by the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign.

Sarah Fitzgerald won first place for her design. Katherine Korassani won second place and the people’s choice award, and Elizabeth Miranda was the third place winner.

The American Heart Association sponsors several events each year to promote heart health awareness for women. Philadelphia University is the only school to put on an annual event, which is set up as a design competition open to junior and senior fashion design majors. The students’ red dress designs will be displayed in the Center City Macy’s Go Red Window.
