Textile Design Students Win Top Awards in Virginia Jackson Design Competition

Students from PhilaU’s textile design program won the top two spots in the print category at the annual Virginia Jackson Design Competition. Grace Chen won first place and Ingrid Johnson took the second place prize at the contest, which features student designs from schools around the country.

The competition is sponsored by the Educational Foundation of the International Textile Market Association — the producer of the semiannual Showtime fabric show in High Point, N.C. The winning designs will be displayed throughout the summer Showtime event from June 3 to 6.
