PhilaU architecture students design for Patch Adams clinic: Philadelphia Inquirer

PhilaU architecture students last fall and spring worked on designs for a proposed Patch Adams free health and community clinic in an impoverished area of North Philadelphia, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported July 22.  “It is a very tough challenge” to meet sustainability goals and the desire to promote community, said associate architecture professor David Kratzer.  Hunter ‘Patch’ Adams gained fame following the 1998 release of the movie Patch Adams starring Robin Williams, about a medical clinic where laughter and love where just as important as medical procedures.
