PhilaU Places CACC-High 50 Students on D2 Academic Achievement List

A record-high of 50 PhilaU student-athletes have earned the 2012-13 Division II Athletics Directors Association (D2ADA) Academic Achievement Awards, setting a University record and leading the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) for the third time since 2008.

“Philadelphia University is proud of the achievements of our student-athletes both on the field and in the classroom,” said Tom Shirley, PhilaU athletic director and head women’s basketball coach. “It’s an honor to lead the CACC in the number of students receiving academic achievement awards for the third time in five years, reflecting PhilaU’s rigorous academic standards and the ability of our student-athletes to meet them.”
