Philadelphia University has been named one of the “Top 50 Fashion Schools in the World” for the second time by Fashionista, a leading international web site for fashion news and trends.

PhilaU fashion programs, which include fashion design and fashion merchandising and management, ranked 38th in the 2014 rankings announced Dec. 22.

Fashionista emphasized the success of PhilaU graduates, noting that students have landed jobs at Donna Karan, Urban Outfitters, Tommy Hilfiger and other top fashion companies.

Fashionista considered tuition rates, the success of graduates, student and alumni feedback, business training, social life and financial aid options in their results.

Other notable schools that made the list include London College of Fashion, the Fashion Institute of Technology and Savannah College of Art and Design.

PhilaU also ranked in the top 50 programs  in Fashionista‘s previous rankings released June 2013.
