PhilaU Blackstone LaunchPad Supports Student Entrepreneurs: Technical.ly

PhilaU’s Blackstone LaunchPad scholarship program provides resources for student entrepreneurs to attend startup conferences, pitch events and venture fairs, Technical.ly reported Oct. 14. Morgan Berman, sustainable design graduate and CEO of My Milkcrate, an app that connects people with sustainable resources, said the funds enabled her to attend events and connect with investors. PhilaU business student Kyle Thorpe, who is working to develop a startup, was able to use the LaunchPad resources to attend such events as Forbes Under 30 Summit and an MIT Enterprise Forum.

The LaunchPad scholarship program “is a fantastic early touch point for us to connect with students,” said Zoe McKinley, director of PhilaU’s Blackstone LaunchPad.
