Adjunct Professor’s Award-Winning Art on Display

Rashidah Salam’s “Terrence” will be on display until Feb. 2.

Rashidah Salam, an adjunct professor in the Kanbar College of Design, Engineering and Commerce, has received the Richard Nexon Memorial Award for an Emerging Artist from the Cheltenham Center for the Arts for her newest painting, “Terrence.” This marks the second time she has received the award from the center. The piece will be on display until Feb. 2 as part of its 77th annual Members’ Exhibition.

In addition, Salam’s painting “Queen,” which won the Founder’s Award last year from the Cheltenham Center for the Arts, will be displayed at the Main Line Art Center’s Professional Artist Members Exhibition until Feb. 15.
