Coffee Drink Company Started in University Dorm Gets “Shark Tank” Boost: Philadelphia Business Journal

“A family-owned coffee beverage startup created in a Philadelphia University dorm room found its way to ABC’s Shark Tank. The three brothers behind Super Coffee didn’t walk away with an investment, but a post-TV show sales bump has led the trio to set their sights on more expansion,” the Philadelphia Business Journal reported Feb. 26.

Jordan DeCicco was a freshman basketball player looking for a better way to fuel his early morning practices when he developed the drink, later bringing his two brothers into the business.

While the brothers didn’t get an investment deal from the sharks, the 10 minutes of national tv exposure Feb. 11 resulted in more online sales in 12 hours than in all of 2017, Super Coffee said.
