Jefferson at Forefront of New Pa. Program for Medical Marijuana Research: Philadelphia Inquirer

The so-called Jefferson Amendment to Pennsylvania’s medical marijuana law calls for academic clinical research centers to partner with marijuana companies for patient studies, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported March 26.

With the Lambert Center for the Study of Medicinal Cannabis and Hemp, established in 2016 to support marijuana education and research, Jefferson was one of the first academic institutions in the United States to move aggressively into the cannabis space, the Inquirer reported.
