Jefferson Students Gear Up Motorized Car to Help Four-Year-Old Logan Get Around: NBC10

An interdisciplinary team of Jefferson students retrofitted a motorized car for four-year-old Logan Sharples, who has special needs, NBC10 reported Aug. 21.

Students and faculty in industrial design, physical therapy, engineering and occupational therapy redesigned the car to enable Logan, who contracted bacterial meningitis when he was 15 months old, to drive it himself.  Logan’s father, Don Sharples, is senior associate director of admissions at Jefferson.
