Opening the Healthcare Pipeline for Every Student in Philadelphia: Philadelphia Inquirer

Pipeline programs encourage a broader range of students to pursue careers in the health sciences and better reflect the diversity of Philadelphia, according to a Philadelphia Inquirer commentary by Drew Harris, assistant professor in the Jefferson College of Population Health, and Cecilia McCormick, vice provost and executive director of pipeline programs at Thomas Jefferson University.

Such programs at Jefferson and other institutions help “young people of every background develop a love for science and a passion for impacting human lives,” Harris and McCormick said.
